The Penzance Convention

The Penzance Convention was a three-day conference in expanded form. Building on the legacy of The Falmouth Convention in 2010, it was conceived as an international meeting of artists, curators, writers, scientists, historians, philosophers and experts from other fields. We were invited by Teresa Gleadowe and Newlyn Art Gallery and The Exchange to develop the event identity and communication materials, including website, as an extension of The Falmouth Convention.

The logo, like a proposition, a quotation, or a focus of intention, graphically marks the space with which The Penzance Convention facilitates discussion and debate. Stamped onto the various applications, literally in the case of the conference pack, it signals the authority of the Convention without dominating.
